Weld County Programs

Realizing Economic Advancement through Caring Homes (REACH) - Become an in-home REACH child care provider and earn income to support your family.

Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) - Provides financial assistance for eligible low-income families who are working, searching for employment or in an educational activity and need child care to support their efforts to achieve and/or maintain self-sufficiency.

Employment Services - Comprehensive workforce center connecting resources for employment, education and training services.

Financial, Food and Medical Services - Access to financial, food and medical services for eligible low-income families and individuals.

Energy Assistance Programs - Seasonally-open Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) designed to help eligible low-income households with winter home heating costs.

Child Support Services - Provides help to parents and anyone caring for a child by helping to locate parents, establish paternity, establish a child support order and enforce child support obligations.

Family Resource - Supports Weld County families by offering a variety of free, voluntary services, including outreach, post-adoption support and prevention services.

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren - Provides support services to grandparents aged 55 years or older raising their grandchildren, including legal referral and information, monthly support groups and educational workshops.

Foster Care - Provides resources and supports to families who foster Weld County children and teens while working toward reunification with biological families.

Kinship - Kinship care, kinship foster care and kinship support groups for relatives caring for children.

Report Child Abuse or Neglect - Report suspected child abuse and neglect, as well as allegations of at-risk adult abuse and neglect. Call the Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-844-CO-4-KIDS (1-844-264-5437).

Childhood Obesity Prevention - The Weld County Department of Public Heath and Environment is working to reverse the trend of early childhood obesity by intervening in several key areas.

Health Services - Offers a range of health and wellness services and information on issues such as safe sleep, disease prevention, immunizations and reproductive health.

 

United Way of Weld County Programs

2-1-1 Information and Referral - Call 2-1-1 or search this online database of 10,000 Colorado programs and services.

Roadmap 4 Kids - Available in both English and Spanish, Roadmap 4 Kids is a resource for families with a collection of information on topics such as child care, parenting, school readiness and more. 

Reading Great By 8 - Ensures children are entering kindergarten ready and reading at grade level by the start of 4th grade. Gives many forms of support to professional child care providers, parents and caregivers for offering an enriching early childhood care experience.

PASO Institute Training for Spanish Speakers - 120 hours of child development training for Spanish speaking child care providers.

Weld's Way Home - Helping to solve homelessness in Weld County.

 

Community Programs

Weld Food Bank - Collects, stores and processes food to distribute to low-income people.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) - USDA-funded health and nutrition program for Women, Infants and Children under the age of five years.

North Colorado Health Alliance - Creative and strategic collaboration of partner organizations that are dedicated to cultivating the health of the community.

North Range Behavioral Health (NRBH) - Offers an array of mental health and alcohol and drug services to help children, youth, adults and families live and healthy and productive life. 

Meals on Wheels of Greeley - Delivers hot, nutritionally well-balanced meals to people who are unable to cook for themselves because they are elderly, frail and/or physically challenged.
