Free Drinking Water Lead Testing for Family Child Care Homes

 WHAT: The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment is providing FREE testing of lead in drinking water for family child care homes. 

WHO: All family child care homes located in Weld County.

WHY: To assess the water quality for children receiving care in your home. Lead poses a serious threat, especially to pregnant women, infants, and young children. Lead exposure in infants and children has been linked to delays in physical development, behavioral problems and damage to growing brains. 

HOW: Water sample collection bottles, with instructions, can be picked up at the Weld County Health Department, 1555 N. 17th Ave., Greeley, CO, 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday.
